Summary                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
The position of Configuration/Data Specialist is responsible for providing Configuration and/or Data Management ensuring the smooth flow of work and effectively identifying and managing technical data.  This position is responsible for performing highly skilled computer duties with expertise in basic database programs, data collection, data input, basic research, profiles, reports and maintenance of records with highly developed organizational skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
  • 2 years of related hands on experienced preferred
  • SolidWorks PDM experience preferred
  • Ability to understand a Contract and Scope of Work (SOW)
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management processes
  • Ability to understand engineering concepts
  • Effectively communicate, both written and orally, with tact and professionalism
  • Self-motivated, requiring little to no supervision who will actively seek out ways to improve processes and procedures
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Sense of urgency with ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide Hardware/Software Configuration Management
  • Provide data management and communication to all departments
  • Maintain configuration status ensuring compliance with Configuration Management policies
  • Maintain and update current knowledge of database activities and programs; maintain current and accurate database policies and processes manuals
  • Train database end users
  • Maintain accurate and relevant constituent database system
  • Generate queries and reports from the database as needed and at regularly scheduled times

  • Work is performed in an office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
  • May occasionally be required to life moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday
