Summary                                                                                                                                                              
The Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsibilities also include aiding in contractual changes within the production arena.  Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. 

Qualifications
 
  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in Africa (experience in East Africa is preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience managing complex military logistics tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office; specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be familiar with FAR, DFAR and IRS regulations
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements associated with contracts
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role, directing both indirect and direct labor
  • Extensive experience working with contracts, materials, purchasing and quality preferred
  • Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated individual who can meet the challenges of a paperwork-intensive environment
  • Able to multi-task and to accept and adapt to change quickly
  • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities
  • Must have ability to resolve conflict effectively
  • Must be able to travel on short notice
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance
 
Responsibilities
 
  • The Project Manager shall be the contractor’s primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to this TO and shall bear ultimate responsibility for ensuring the requirements described herein are met fully.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of company’s objectives
  • Identify resources needed and assigns project lead’s responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects scope
  • Review deliverables prepared by teams before passing to client
  • Effectively apply our methodology and enforces project standards
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on the project
  • Ensure project’s documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Able to project high-level professionalism on behalf of the company
  • Track and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis                                          
  • Manage project budgets and expenditures
  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for all projects
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly
  • Understand our pricing model and billing procedures
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Assure programs legal documents are completed and signed
  • Lead proposal efforts including completing project scoping and scheduling
  • Effectively convey our message in both written and verbal business development discussions
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
  • Hold regular status meetings with project teams
  • Keep project teams well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to COO
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
 
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work may be performed outside in hot and cold desert environments or inclement weather conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see (must be able to stand for long periods of time)
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds during the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
